No, PrimoPDF is an excellent PDF virtual printer. Just print like you would normally but select “PrimoPDF” as the chosen printer. Here’s a link to their product page:

Nope. once you download Adobe, you should be fine.
you can scan the file in various formats it includes PDF format after scanning the file you can use save as option and can check the pdf format (adobe reader needed or any PDF viewer)

When you buy a scanner it comes with an installation disk. In that disk you can install drivers for your scanner and some utility software. Almost any scanners have the option to scan to a photo file (.jpg), to a printer, to a pdf file and other options. But if you have an old scanner you will need a pdf editor tool like Adobe Reader Proffesional but those tools need payment. So you scan and save it as a jpeg file then in the editor you create a new document and copy/paste the file into it or import the file.
