I’m looking for some good free virus scans/spyware detectors available online because my McAfee trial has run out on my new laptop. They can be either used online or downloadable. No scams please! 
I have two school pictures. One is 8 x 10 and one is 3 x 5. If I scan both at 300 dpi setting and want to print out a 3 x 5, will the scanned 8 x 10 produce any better results for the printed 3 x 5 than the scanned 3 x 5? Or will the results be about the same. I imagine it couldn’t be worse. I know I could probably do this myself but I would like to know if anyone else has tried this. Opinions are great but I’m kinda looking for facts. Thanks.
OK, my parents want to buy me the Volsunga Saga for X-mas and my Sister and Brother-in-law want to buy me Beowulf…. I know I’ve asked this before but I didn’t get the answers I was wanting…. What are the best translations of these books?
X-mas shopping starts soon so they are pestering me for answers! 
I got 1gig of RAM with vista home premium, and its always up a little over halfway, Ive disabled alot of services but I still dont have alot of free RAM!
How else can i get more free (without buying more).
And also, i noticed my CPU, has been staying at around 10% constantly, i just did a full virus/spyware scan, but it didnt find anything new.
I urgently need a good Antivirus which is compatible with Windows XP and is fast in scanning documents. I also need an antivirus which can scan in DOS mode or when the computer is booting.
I’ve never read the Bible or Torah or Koran in any capacity, but am curious. If I were to begin to study them, which versions/translations would be best?

I have a ton of 35mm slides and negatives that I would like to scan into digital format. I’ve seen a number of options out there, from digital camera attachments to flatbed scanners to dedicated fil scanners. I don’t want to spend a whole lot of money, but I’d like to get decent results.
