I have windows vista on my Acer Extensa 5420, and I have a HP Photosmart C4280 printer with a C4200 #6 scanner.

I have about 200 pages to scan, and it takes really long to scan each page. I need to scan each one as fast as possible. I am trying to edit the settings but the vista settings make it very tedious and annoying to modify the speed.

I know when I had this printer/scanner hooked up to an old dell with windows XP I could change it where the scanner scans the image in black and white and it came out so much faster.

    Thanks for all your help!!

So this all started last year, but TSA is really starting to use these scanners now. Basically, they pick people out of the airport security line “at random” and let them choose between going through the body scan (which takes like a minute) or submit to a pat down. You are not taken to a private room for this, it’s done right by the metal detectors. TSA agents view the images and TSA claims all images are immediately deleted after they are viewed.

I feel that there’s a lot of leeway here for misuse. Who is to say the TSA agent calling people out of line isn’t a pervert/pedophile/whatever choosing people who he/she finds attactive or especially ugly or fat? And are there multiple TSA agents sitting there with popcorn chuckling at these people’s naked bodies?

Personally, I think that if there wasn’t such outrage in the beginning, TSA would consider making this body scan mandatory for all travellers. After all, it’s been designed to take less than a minute.

    So the questions:
Do you think it’s an invasion of privacy?
Which would you choose, the body scan or the pat down?
If the body scan were made mandatory at some airports, would you go out of your way to avoid those airports? Say there’s another airport an hour away, would you drive to that one instead?
    Any other comments?

You can see the body scan images here:

Being a med student it always confuses me to see the liver on the left side of a MRI scan.

    Like this- http://www.mritutor.org/mriteach/5000/ct2.jpg

Can someone please explain :) )
I meant why(not how) is the left-right in MRI and CT scan images always interchanged?

I have an MRI that I’d like to get a cheap second-opinion of. I’ve scanned the images and can easily send them over the Internet. Is there someplace in a developing country, such as India, that will do a reading of them for me cheaply and provide an analysis/diagnosis? I’m not a doctor, by the way. The MRI is of the knee of a family member.

I want my scanned images to go to Photo Smart Essentials, but this program does not do that.

Instead, I have to hit about 3 different things in order to get it to Photo Smart.

Or is there another program that I can use to send the scanned images directly to that program?

    Thanks!
