I want to make a keepsake for my grandson. He is in fourth grade and donated his money to Katrina victims. They wrote an article about him in the newspaper, but used another picture. Now I want to take his color school photo and insert it into the newspaper article AND make it look natural. I am using Photoshop Elements 4.0 in the “from scratch” part of the program. I have cropped the photo to the correct size. I have layered it over the newspaper article. I can change the photo to black and white, but it doesn’t blend at all. Sepia tones don’t either. The photo is too clear compared with the newspaper print. Both pieces are scanned at 300 dpi in RBG.
The guy (radiologist) in the room was completely upset and bewildered by this. (As was I).
I know he wrote up an incident report, but said it should be alright.
They had to call a doctor to look at her, then a different nurse who used an ultrasound to locate another vein. (The 2nd IV was alright).
Should we be worried anyway?
She had this test, (among many others) last week at the University of Minnesota.
This EGD is the only one she needed the contrast for.
She is 22, and had a TP/AIT – (complete pancreas removal), last year.
She has no pancreas, and no spleen. In April (2009) she also had surgery to remove 70+% of her colon.
Not sure if any of these things would then make matters worse?
Will there be further problems with her arm later on?
Does anyone know how we would go about learning more?
She had Chronic Pancreatitis for many years before her TP/AIT surgery.

It was “radioactive contrast dye”…
I may have listed the wrong test, (she had so many last week, my apologies), but not the wrong contrast used.
She has been sick for so long now that adding anything else to it is just mean.

Basically I am tired of scanning my photos and then breaking them up inside of photo editing software. I want to know if there is a way to scan multiple photos at a time and then have them saved all as individual files based on the space in between the pictures.
If its possible could you please suggest some software to do what I need.

I’ve heard of a machine that allows a person to scan a book into a computer and then later search text using “control f”. From what I heard it is necessary to cut the binding of the book. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
I am creating traditional 12X12 scrabooking pages but would like to see how layouts look with certain papers before I cut them. I want to be able to scan in the papers I have and not be limited to the backgrounds that come with the software. Any ideas?

OS = Vista. We have MS Office 2007
I had a 20 page black and white text manual. I used Paint to scan each page and save it as a JPG. I thought I could use MS Word to save each JPG page as a PDF page. I can do that, but each PDF page is a seperate file. How do I put all 20 pages into a single PDF? I’ve seen manuals done like that, where the pages are in correct order and all. How is this done?

i really need to scan this paper into microsoft word using my printer, but when i put the paper in the scanning thing, and press the scan button, it just prints out another copy of the paper. how can i put the paper in microsoft word so that i can edit it, and then print it out?
I just found some old pictures that I would like to be able to send to my grandmother. We have a scanner but I have no idea how to scan the pictures in. How do I do it? I think the model is a Dell 948, or at least thats what it says on the side.
