My friend has a negative of her gran’s grandparents. It’s about 3 by 2 inches. Would it be safe for the negative to scan it?
Because it’s so old, she’s afraid something might happen to it. I wanted to check before scanning it just in case.
I have found some 100+year old negatives taken by my grandfather. I would like to have them scanned to a CD and also printed and scanned. Can I do this myself?
I have a ton of 35mm slides and negatives that I would like to scan into digital format. I’ve seen a number of options out there, from digital camera attachments to flatbed scanners to dedicated fil scanners. I don’t want to spend a whole lot of money, but I’d like to get decent results.
I have an HP 2410 flatbed scanner/printer and was wondering if there was anyway I could use it to scan in my negatives. I would prefer not to have to buy another scanner, so if this one could be used, or an adapter of some sort could be attached, that would make life easier.
I suppose a quick additional question would be, if I had to buy a negative scanner, any suggestions? Thanks
I am interested to buy a scanner that can scan old monochrome negatives from which I can print black and white photos – does any body know of such a scanner.

The name of the scanner Visioneer One Touch 8920. If this is not fesiable what is a good scanner for scanning large negatives.
