I have a HP PSC 1401 printer/scanner/copier. It has problems with printing, but I haven’t used the scanner in a few years. I plugged it in and into my computer and put the picture in the right spot and hit scan, but nothing happened. Help? Thank you!

What should I look for? I need to scan and print some art images to submit for my producers. Some of the art has very fine lines close together. Most of them are sketches and drawings using pencils and pen on paper with not much color used. Some of it is also water paintings done by local artists. I want to capture color and just as importantly, detail. When the sketch prints out, it’s important that if a magnifying glass is used, there shouldn’t be much, if any at all, detail loss. As far as scanners go, I assume I just look for high resolution capability? Cost is somewhat important as well, I’m trying to stay within the $500 budget range. Thank you everyone in advance.
What’s best for micro printing? Anything that can print micro text or numbers should be fine capturing the details of the art. Colors should match up well too of course.
I’m new to macs, so I still don’t know how to use it with my scanner. I’m going to have to scan pictures soon and put them on my computer for display but I’m having a lot of trouble figuring that out. please help!
Please help me; I want to put a drawing I drew onto the computer by scanning. I have a HP Photosmart C6280 All-in-One printer. I’m able to scan with it, but how? I tried pressing ’start scan’ but all it did was reprint the picture.
Please help!
I was wondering of any public resources I would be allowed to use in order to scan my pictures and have them on the computer. From there, I’d hope to be able to store the pictures on my flash drive.
I don’t have a scanner, which is why I’m asking this question.

My family has thousands of family photos that we want to archive digitally and we want to know the fastest method to do this. I scanned a bunch of pictures using a Lexmark 8300 all-in-one scanner/copier/printer/fax from some books and I got yellow lines on the scans. Is there anything I can do with the pictures in Photoshop Elements to get rid of the yellow lines?
