I updated windows this afternoon. And scanned with avg. And am currently updating 19 more updates. Am i safe? I also have windows firewall…i use limewire…so i’m scared…am i okay? what should i do?

The agent advised me to run the virus scan in the safe mode. More than once I tried running the Kaspersky Virus scan, but my computer shuts down after some time without any warning. Sometime it shuts down after 20% of the scan or sometime after 80%.

What might you think is the problem and how could I resolve it?
