What command do you use in the terminal. I am using a linux os.
I use the free addition of AVG Anti-virus and Spydoctor. Usually in the instructions for all the anti-malware programs its given that you should scan the computer regularly using them. So how often does regularly means? I usually end up scanning everyday or the other day. Can scanning a lot have any affect on my hard drive or other components?

I went to a used book store and saw a customer scanning books with something that looked like a PDA with something that looked like a cartrige attached at the top and he was using it to scan books for their value. He was a reseller. Does any one know what it was and where I can get one?

I have a scanner, but what do I set it to scan into my photo gallery and make the same size as the digital photos. Please give detailed advice. Do I need I need any more equipment than this? I am working with Windows Vista.

My HP Photosmart C7280 will not scan. I have tried to download an update to fix this, but to do this I need to download Snow Leopard, which I do not want to do.
