I have been getting an error box popping up lately that says “Windows – No Disk” and then in the box something like Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 475b6bf9c 75b6bf9c. At first I thought it was only happening when i was playing EVE and trying to click on stuff in game. I just uninstalled EVE w/the intention of reinstalling it to fix the problem. After I uninstalled it, I decided it would be a good time to run Spybot and Adaware. I open Spybot and as soon as it starts its scan, the message pops up again. Luckily when it did it then I was able to close Spybot and get the message to go away. When it happens when I’m playing EVE it freezes my computer and I have to reboot it manually.
How do I fix this problem?
well I just found this http://www.consumingexperience.com/2007/11/windows-no-disk-exception-processing.html
I just changed all of my removable media to different drive letters. For some reason when the guy that put my computer together did it, the main HDD came up as drive H: and we couldnt figure out why. One of my removable media drives has been listed as drive C:. After changing the lettering, i reopened spybot and didnt have the same problem, so either i fixed it or it will take something else to trigger it. In which case I will probably get a new HDD like Paul suggests (thanks btw).
I want to send a whole file as an email attachment. I would I do that? I do not want to attach each scanned item in my file individually. I use Vista home premium with windows photo gallery. Any easy solution and or tips?

I have heard that you should have only one firewall on your computer and understand that if you have Windows xp /sp2 that should be sufficient. I have been doing my virus scans without going into “Safe Mode” Why should I go into “Safe Mode” as I have been reading that some do it this way? Thanks!

my computer wont let me do windows updates or let me do disc scan to check for errors, it says it cant perform this check & its finished, i have tried to use avg & it unactive also, i think its a virus but cant do a thing about it. also on my desktop theres two folder things named commonpriv.log.lock since this has been happening & if i delete them they come back in like a minute or so.
When I run C:/Windows/explorer.exe in task manager, everything comes back to normal but it only lasts a few seconds and everything disappears again. The reappearing and disappearing keeps going on in a cycle after I ran explorer.exe . I barely manage to start a scan for viruses and it is currently at 97% completed scan with a Kaspersky anti virus that was updated today. At this point I don’t think it is a virus. Any ideas on how to fix this?
In processes tab on task manager I noticed that there are several processes which are repeated twice like avp.exe , rundll32.exe, sidebar.exe, sprtcmd.exe, sttray.exe, taskeng.exe(there are three of these). Are these processes supposed to be repeated?
Antivirus just finished scanning and it detect no viruses. I am running a rootkit scan now.
I restarted the laptop and used a different user account and noticed that this doesn’t happen except on the original account.
Finally fixed it. Dell technician failed me this time. I used system restore in the boot menu by pressing f8 and choosing the repair options and that fixed the problem. I am still not sure what triggered this.
Ok i will add more details give a few minutes.
I went through the whole process again so I could write what I did.
I pressed the F8 button constantly as soon as I turned on the computer. If your computer is on just press ans hold the button to turn on your computor until it turns off then turn it back on and press F8 button until you get the Advanced boot options menu. After that chose “Repair your computer”.(your computer will seem to restart again here.Just let it load.)Next choose “U.S. keyboard layout” which was already selected and click next. Then choose your usual user name from the drop down menu and your password as you usually would when you turn on your computer. The next step is to choose “System Restore” which says it will restore your computer to an earlier point in time. (this won’t delete anything you already had on your computer by the way). Then chose a date on the options before you started to have the problem. Your computer will restart again and it should be back to normal.Become my fan if this works for you.
